Great kit, one small complaint…

“Love this kit, makes sourdough baking easy and fun. It has everything you could want as a beginner and more. The AI app is a game changer and helps me learn more than I ever could on my own. My only complaint is the elastic band that goes around the glass starter container to help you remember when you last fed your starter stretched after less than three weeks of use and no longer stays up on the jar. I suspect it’s because it got wet, but I’ve only had it for three weeks, I wouldn’t expect it to deteriorate that fast.”

Simple Sourdough

“If you want authentic sourdough, this starter is going to help you. You have to buy the ingredients but this starter kit has everything to help you make tasty sourdough. It seemed complicated at first but as it went on, it was a lot easier then I thought. The size was the bread was big, for one person all this bread would take me like a week to finish. Absolutely love it.”

Makes a great gift for almost anyone that is getting into sourdough baking

“I got this as a gift for a coworker who recently started getting into sourdough baking. When they opened it, they were very excited, as it came with a lot of useful products. I do wish that it came with a wooden spatula, but the plastic one isn't bad.”

Great kit

“So far I am loving this set! I’ve only made one loaf so far but everything already seems to be better quality and more sturdy than my previous set. It’s a great place to start for a beginner. My previous banneton became misshapen and I’m hoping this won’t!”

Super baking sourdough starter kit is fantastic

“Super baking sourdough starter kit is a fantastic value, giving you all the tools that you will ever need to make sourdough bread, except for the flour and starter. Highly recommended to anybody who’s interested in making sourdough. The app that the company also promotes is a definite help as it uses an AI feature in case you have questions. You can post a picture and it’ll tell you exactly what AI sees about your bread and how to improve it.”

High quality

“High quality sourdough kit. The glass jar with the band and silicone bottom on it way exactly 300g. This is great because it makes it easy to know the weight of your starter when feeding it.”

Beginner friendly!

“I’ve been using all my tools for this set to make my bread! Great starter set for the price. The glass did end up breaking but I think it was my fault or maybe because it is very thin. It is easy to use and beginner friendly!”

Complete set!

“Great set at a great price! Everything I needed to start my sourdough journey! Other sets I considered did not include the silicone sling. I had a Dutch oven and my daughter shared her mother. First loaf came out perfect!”

Black design on the jar comes off on your hands.

“The kit was just ok. The jar is thin glass and the black design on the outside comes off on your hands. Maybe it shouldn’t have gone in the dishwasher? Never seen that happen. It’s almost all faded at this point. The brown silicone stirrer is a little thin too. I also prefer a razor blade lame instead of the one that came in this kit. So it was a decent starter kit but I’ve already had to upgrade and replace a few of the larger items in it.”

Absolutely Love It, but…

“I bought it for myself and the packaging of every single piece of this package is so well done & thoughtful. I pleasantly surprised given the lower price point. Not only are there a lot of items in this package, but they are of the highest quality, down to the razor blades individually wrapped in mini envelopes in a leather pouch. I bought the burgundy and love it. Update: now that I have been using I needed to share 2 things. 1st the glass container you mix your starter in seems very nice, but after multiple side by side tests, something about that jar does not allow the starter to progress anywhere near as well as 2 random jars I tried from home. Secondly, for all the detailed packaging I am unsure why a snap bracelet is included…can’t see that being a big win for people, but what is missing is instructions!!! I have never see the internet more flooded about one recipe with conflicting info, as I have sour dough. Not 1 sheet of paper with some guidance. I did download the provided Bake Side App. Which was great at first, working along with Chat. But then I caught a couple times where it left out an important step. I kept asking for all the instructions I advanced, because each day I had no idea what was coming. I would only get pieces. When I finally baked my first loaf I realized the App left out a critical step and my bread was a flop. I called out the app and asked it to self report the error. So now I have started over with a recipe from elsewhere where. It’s been a month, no bread.”
