“This is a great sourdough starter kit OR for someone whose been making sourdough for years, like myself. It comes with everything you need, including measuring cups, a scraper, and even a scrubber that fits the jars nicely. I LOVE the super wide top for ease of stirring and for getting starter out of the jar. The heaviness of the jar is so nice. The scraper that comes with it is probably my favorite part — it scrapes every nook and cranny perfectly. The stick-on thermometer is handy, and I really like the band on the outside to mark where my starter began so I can easily tell how much it has risen. Overall, well worth your money and it looks nice on the counter too.”

“I have been baking sourdough a little over two years. I will be teaching a sourdough class in my community and was looking at various starter kits for my students. This sourdough starter kit has everything you need to get started! You can track the temperature of your starter without needing a thermometer. It comes with tools that allow you to track your feeding schedule. It even comes with measuring cups if you don't have a scale to measure your flour and water in grams. “I was skeptical about buying this kit, as a lot of them feel cheap and don't have a solid lid (the cloth lids make it easier to develop mold). I saw this one had a solid lid so I decided to give it a shot. It's so easy to clean and scrape the sides. They include a jar scrubber so you don't need to shove your hand in the jar. The band has days and times on it so I can keep track of when I last fed it. It comes with measuring cups and a little spatula mixer. They even include directions on how to start and feed your starter and how to bake your first loaf. Overall, I'm impressed by this kit. 10/10 would recommend to anyone whether you are just starting or have been doing this a while.”
